The upper arm defense shape and attachment is based upon an extant piece from the British Museum*. Instead of tooling the grain side of the leather, I covered it with blue velvet and decorated with steel splints to match my greaves that are based on a brass of Sir Miles Stapleton at Norfolk c1364. A style which disappears in England in the 4th quarter of the 14th cen.
Medium: Water and gue hardened vegetable tanned leather, silk velvet, stainless steel splints and brass rivets.
